Mandhar Overview
Project Mandhar is a strategic initiative developed by the Bihar & Jharkhand Fraternity Munich e.V., in partnership with the Indian Mission in Germany, and the state governments of Bihar and Jharkhand. This project addresses Germany’s demand for skilled workers by preparing young professionals from Bihar and Jharkhand to integrate into the German workforce. In this initial 14-week phase, participants will gain foundational German language skills (A1 level), essential cultural understanding, and a preliminary assessment of their technical skills to prepare them for potential employment opportunities in Germany.
The initial focus of Project Mandhar is to enable participants to achieve A1 proficiency in German, allowing them to navigate basic everyday and workplace conversations. This phase also introduces participants to German social norms and workplace culture, ensuring they are well-prepared for future, in-depth training. By addressing these essential skills, Project Mandhar supports Germany’s labour needs while empowering Indian youth with valuable cross-cultural skills, helping foster a collaborative relationship between India and Germany.
